About the Associate Chief Scientist Program

The Associate Chief Scientist position is for young researchers who will head their independent laboratories. The position is meant to develop the next generation of leaders in science and technology by encouraging original research undertaken with a long-term perspective. This position enables researchers to make the most of RIKEN’s various research facilities inside and outside Japan, and its network of RIKEN laboratories covering a broad range of research fields.
