Mechanical Engineering Center of Applied Research Laboratory is in charge of advanced research and development in mechanical engineering field to support accelerator science, particle physics, and materials structure science carried out at KEK. The successful candidate will be involved in one of projects held in KEK and be expected to engage the R&D works applying mechanical engineering. He/she may research advanced and fundamental mechanical engineering for future science programs. The post-doc position is open for candidates who are highly motivated.

Accelerator Laboratory

The successful candidate will belong to the Accelerator Laboratory, and is expected to engage in the R&D on beam control for the intensity upgrade of the J-PARC Main Ring synchrotron. The candidate is also expected to engage in the operation, improvement of the J-PARC accelerator.

2015/3/9 ACCL14-21 Accelerator Laboratory

The successful candidate will belong to the Accelerator Laboratory, and is expected to take a leading role in the R&D, construction, and commissioning of beam diagnostic system including synchrotron light monitors for SuperKEKB. The candidate is also expected to engage in the operation, improvement, and maintenance of related accelerators as well as in R&D work on accelerator technologies for future projects that KEK is promoting.

2015/3/9 IPNS14-13 Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies

Successful candidate will serve at the Radioactive Nuclear Beam Group at IPNS, and is expected to play a leading role at KISS (KEK Isotope Separation System), experimental program undertaken as a joint project between KEK and RIKEN. The candidate is also expected to contribute to experimental nuclear astrophysics using radioactive nuclear beams.
