IMSS13-21 Institute of Materials Structure Science

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), which is affiliated to KEK acting as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, promotes interdisciplinary and complimentary use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation (SR), neutron, muon and positron, in materials and life sciences research. The successful candidate will belong the Photon Factory (PF) and is expected to play pivotal roles in pursuing research on imaging using synchrotron X-rays for the studies of hierarchic structure and dynamics in materials under Grant in Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas: “Interdisciplinary research on quantum imaging opened with 3D semiconductor detector” by MEXT.

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), which is affiliated to KEK acting as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, promotes extensive and crosscut use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation (SR), neutron, muon, and positron, in materials and life sciences. The successful candidate will belong to the Neutron Science Laboratory (KENS) and is expected to pursue neutron optics and physics. He/she will also play active role to promote user programs of KENS as well as to take responsibilities on the operation and maintenance of neutron beamlines and experimental apparatus.

IMSS13-23 Institute of Materials Structure Science

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), which is affiliated to KEK acting as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, promotes extensive and crosscut use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation (SR), neutron, muon, and positron, in materials and life sciences. The successful candidate will belong to the Neutron Science Laboratory (KENS) and is expected to pursue the structural studies of functional materials with in-situ neutron diffraction. He/she will also play active role to promote user programs of KENS as well as to take responsibilities on the operation and maintenance of neutron beamlines and experimental apparatus.
