IMSS13-2 Associate Professor

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS) , which is affiliated
to KEK acting as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, promotes
interdisciplinary and complimentary use of four types of quantum beams,
synchrotron radiation (SR), neutron, muon and positron, in materials and
life sciences research. The successful candidate will belong Materials Structural
Physics Group of the Photon Factory (PF), and is expected to play pivotal
roles in pursuing advanced materials structural physics mainly utilizing
X-ray scattering/diffraction techniques. He/she will be expected to take
the responsibilities of operation and maintenance of the related beamlines
and experimental apparatuses as well as to promote active user programs
of the PF. Moreover, He/she will also belong Condensed Matter Research Center
in IMSS, and be expected to develop the advanced structural physics by using
not only Hard&Soft X-ray of PF, but also the other quantum beams of IMSS.

 

IMSS13-3 Associate Professor

life sciences research. The successful candidate will belong to Life Science
Group of the Photon Factory (PF), and is expected to play pivotal roles
in pursuing advanced structural life science mainly utilizing X-ray scattering/diffraction
techniques. He/she will be expected to take the responsibilities of operation
and maintenance of the related beamlines and experimental apparatuses as
well as to promote active user programs of the PF. Moreover, He/she will
also belong to Structural Biology Research Center in IMSS, and be expected
to develop an advanced method for structural life science by using X-ray
diffraction technique in PF.

well as to promote active user programs of the PF. Moreover, He/she will
also belong to Structural Biology Research Center in IMSS, and be expected
to pursue structural biology research and to develop an advanced method
for structural life science by using the X-ray small angle scattering technique
in PF.

to KEK acting as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, promotes
interdisciplinary and complimentary use of four types of quantum beams,
synchrotron radiation (SR), neutron, muon and positron, in materials and
life sciences research. The successful candidate will become an assistant
professor of Materials Chemistry Group of the Photon Factory (PF), and will
play a role in promoting materials and chemical sciences using microbeam-based
X-ray absorption spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence analysis. He/she will
also be expected to take the responsibilities of operation and maintenance
of the related beamlines and experimental apparatuses as well as to promote
active user programs of the PF including industrial applications.

 

IMSS13-7 Assistant Professor

Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS), which is affiliated to
KEK acting as an Inter-University Research Institute Corporation, promotes
extensive and crosscut use of four types of quantum beams, synchrotron radiation
(SR) , neutron, muon, and positron, in materials and life sciences. The
successful candidate will belong to the Photon Factory (PF) and is expected
to pursue the development of the high performance beamlines and instruments
with high brightness insertion devices at PF related to VUV-light and soft
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. He/She is also expected to investigate
the surface/interface electronic structures of functional oxide heterostructures
and advanced materials using in situ SR-based photoelectron spectroscopy.

 

IMSS13-8 Assistant Professor

interdisciplinary and complimentary use of four types of quantum beams,

life sciences research. The candidate belonging to the Photon Factory is
expected to develop velocity map imaging of photoelectrons from free molecules
using soft x-ray undulator radiation. He or she is also expected to develop
ultrafast photoelectron diffraction of free molecules using x-ray free electron
lasers.

Division, and is expected to play pivotal roles in pursuing research on
tribology and related sciences mainly utilizing neutron reflectivity and
neutron spin echo techniques under the JST Research Program “Tribology with
Muon and Neutron”. Moreover he/she will also belong to Condensed Matter
Research Center in IMSS to pursue the interdisciplinary use of the other
quantum beams available at IMSS such as muon for resolving issues raised
in the program.

 

IMSS13-10 Assistant Professor

he/she will also belong to Condensed Matter Research Center in IMSS to pursue
the interdisciplinary use of the other quantum beams available at IMSS such
as neutron for resolving issues raised in the program.
