Offres d’emploi au KEK Applied Research Laboratory

The Radiation Science Center of KEK seeks applicants for a Professor or an Associate Professor position to work in the field of radiation protection for accelerator facilities. The successful candidate is expected to take a major role in the radiation safety control of the J-PARC high intensity proton accelerator complex. She/He is expected to play a role in the researches concerning radiation physics, chemistry or radiation engineering related to accelerator health physics. She/He should have the Japanese first-class certification for radiation protection.

The successful candidate is expected to proceed the R&D studies on radiation physics, radiation detection, radio-/radiation chemistry or radiation engineering related to high-energy accelerator health physics in cooperation with the staffs of Radiation Science Center.

The successful candidate will belong to Cryogenics Science Center of Applied Research Laboratory, and is to be involved in advanced research and development of applied superconductivity and cryogenic enginneing to support scientific programs carried out at KEK. He/she is to be in charge of development of superconducting magnets and cryogenics systems for the projects that are in progress at J-PARC (such as COMET or g-2).

The successful candidate is expected to work, in the applied superconductivity and/or cryogenic engineering, in projects that are carried out at KEK. He/she may participate related science programs with his/her technical expertise. The post-doc position is open for candidates who are highly motivated for advanced research on applied superconductivity and cryogenics.

Mechanical Engineering Center of Applied Research Laboratory is in charge of advanced research and development in mechanical engineering field to support accelerator science, particle physics, and materials structure science carried out at KEK. The successful candidate will be involved in one of projects held in KEK and be expected to engage the R&D works applying mechanical engineering. He/she may research advanced and fundamental mechanical engineering for future science programs. The post-doc position is open for candidates who are highly motivated.

Computing Research Center provides computing resources and technical support for KEK users, and also conducts R&D on the computational/information technologies related to accelerator science (research fields using accelerators) to which the successful candidate is expected to contribute. The R&D subjects include hardware/software development of large scale computing, distributed computing, computer simulation, data acquisition and data analysis.
